Thank you to the “D” family for braving the (really!) cold on a Sunday morning to capture this mama’s beauty while pregnant. She even wore that gorgeous dress~all for the sake of art! I so love maternity shoots because I get to reminisce about my two pregnancies (and remember only the good stuff, not all those aches & pains). I heard somewhere that being pregnant/having kids is like the ultimate creative act/art project. And I agree

I got the opportunity to shoot some of the deliciousness available at It’s A Grind, recently. I can personally attest that the lattes are absolutely amazing and the baristas really know their stuff This particular location down in Deep Ellum is part of the Demeter Project--who is “reinventing the American workplace” by paying a living wage, putting profits back into charities, and more. I am proud to be able to help them out in any way possible! Props to Cannon Flowers & Serena Simmons Connelley (an old, dear friend of mine).

Thanks to this beautiful family for their patience! I was a half hour late because I didn’t realize I’d need to take a shuttle from a remote lot to get to the Arboretum last weekend! I don’t think I have ever seen that many people there, ever! The little guy wasn’t feeling his best, so he is a trooper for giving me some smiles
